This customer brought his stock standard 2016 Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series in to us at HD Tuning for a mild Dyno Tune.
As seen below, this stock Toyota Landcruiser came in measuring 179.8HP (134 kW) and 433.5NM (319.7 ft-lb)of torque at all 4 wheels on our AWD dyno.
Upon departure this customer could see +20% increase in power and +15% torque! Bringing the totals up to 215.5HP (160.7 kW) and 498.5NM (367.7 ft-lb) of torque @ the wheels, an estimated 50hp / 100nm gain at the flywheel!
The stock ratings for this vehicle are measured at the flywheel. Those figures are 270hp and 650NM of torque.
The spreadsheet below shows the driveline loss from measuring power at all four wheels. This can also calculate the estimated power and torque at the flywheel after Dyno Tuning.
As you can see from the image above there is 50% driveline loss on this Toyota Landcruiser. This is predominantly due to the rotating mass of 4 heavy tyres & the AWD driveline.
